This article addresses several social and economic-orientated problems arising from the excavations at the Piges Koromilias Cave in North Greece. A brief report on selected finds, including lithic tools, bone and shell artefacts and spindle whorls, and their comparative analysis with objects from another cave site, Piges Anghitis, supports a preliminary interpretation of the function of the cave and its place in a broader geographical context during the Neolithic period.
