Farewell to Myrto
Our Aegean family lost one of its most beloved and valued members. Our dearest friend and colleague Myrto Georgakopoulou left us untimely on Thursday, December 15, 2022. We are mourning for Myrto, but we will always keep with us her radiant personality, her sharp mind and her beautiful smile, as well as her brilliant and valuable work on Aegean archaeometallurgy and on her great love, the Cyclades.
We will say goodbye to Myrto on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 12:00 at the First Cemetery of Athens.
Our heart-felt condolences to her family, especially to Tom, Nefeli, Ifigeneia, and Aliki, as well as to her numerous friends and colleagues.
