Archaeological Work in the Peloponnese (AWOP3)

With this circular we announce the Third International Scientific Meeting of the “Archaeological Work in the Peloponnese” (AWOP3). The meeting is organized by the Department of History, Archaeology, and Cultural Resources Management of the University of the Peloponnese and will take place in Kalamata on 3-6 December 2020.
The aim of AWOP3 is to inform specialists and the general public on archaeological work undertaken in the Peloponnese, the islands of the Gulf of Argos, Kythera, and Antikythera during the last three years, namely: finds from recent excavations and other fieldwork, the results of recent studies of new or old material, work relating to the conservation and management of monuments and archaeological sites.
Presentations must be original. Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes. Posters are also invited and will be published as full papers in the proceedings of AWOP3. All submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee for approval. The official languages of AWOP3 are Greek and English. Interested participants are invited to send a completed registration form with abstract (completed according to the attached template in Word format) by 30 September 2020 to AWOP3 at aepel3@uop.gr.
