{"id":17165,"date":"2017-11-06T16:15:42","date_gmt":"2017-11-06T14:15:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aegeussociety.org\/?page_id=17165"},"modified":"2020-02-18T18:08:04","modified_gmt":"2020-02-18T16:08:04","slug":"aims-and-scopes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.aegeussociety.org\/en\/aims-and-scopes\/","title":{"rendered":"A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE AEGEAN LECTURES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <i>Aegean Lectures <\/i>are organised<i>\u00a0<\/i>in collaboration with the Swedish Institute at Athens since 2013.\u00a0The\u00a0<em>Aegean Lectures<\/em>\u00a0are designed to present new findings, new excavations and new research studies on the prehistory of the Aegean and neighbouring regions, such as Cyprus and Asia Minor, from the Palaeolithic to the Early Iron Age (Geometric times).\u00a0The lectures are focused mostly on the presentation of new findings and new excavations as well as on the excavation process itself in order to provide a more comprehensive picture of these important aspects of archaeology. Interdisciplinary approaches and interpretations, as well as the methodologies used, are all fitting topics for presentation and discussion. In addition, the\u00a0<em>Aegean Lectures\u00a0<\/em>will try to help junior researchers to present their work.
