With blue colour is mentionned the word Aegeus (E.L. Bennett, 1955. The Pylos Tablets. Texts of the Inscriptions found 1939-1954, Princeton: p. 66).\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aegeussociety.org\/images\/uploads\/aegeus\/Tablet-of-the-tripods.jpg\" data-fancybox-group=\"gallery\">tripod tablet<\/a>, which was used to confirm the decipherment of the script by Michael Ventris. The Society\u00a0<a class=\"large_image blue\" title=\"The artist Antonios Panagopoulos made more that 300 drawings to create Aegeus's emblem.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aegeussociety.org\/images\/uploads\/aegeus\/Aegeus-emblems-Panagop.jpg\" data-fancybox-group=\"gallery\">emblem<\/a>\u00a0bears the three relevant signs of Linear B (a3 \u2013 ke \u2013 u).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"aims\" class=\"fancybox-inline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aegeussociety.org\/en\/index.php\/about\/#aims\">Aims<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The aims of Aegeus are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The study, research and dissemination of prehistoric archaeology of the Aegean, as well as of regions that are historically related to it.<\/li>\n<li>The formation of a new way of cultural expression and communication that takes advantage of the possibilites offered to the discipline of archaeology by new technologies and particularly the Web.<\/li>\n<li>The strengthening of multidisciplinary collaborations between various scientific and humanities disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields (bioarchaeology, arcaeobotany, zooarchaeology, geoarchaeology, philology, philosophy, anthropology, history etc.).<\/li>\n<li>The protection and increase of public awareness of the prehistoric cultural heritage of the Aegean, in collaboration with the relevant authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aegeus &#8211; Society for Aegean Prehistory\u00a0was established on 1 March 2009 and\u00a0is a non-profit organisation with research, cultural and educational objectives.
