Exhibition titled “Il regno di Aḫḫijawa. I Micenei e la Sicilia”

On Saturday, May 11, the Paolo Orsi Museum in Syracuse will open the exhibition “Il regno di Aḫḫijawa. I Micenei e la Sicilia” (“The Kingdom of Aḫḫijawa. The Mycenaeans and Sicily”).
The exhibition features over 160 objects from the National Museum of Athens and the Archaeological Museums of Mycenae and Patras, as well as finds from the Archaeological Museum of Taranto, the Monuments Office of Lecce and Brindisi and the Archaeological Museum of Cagliari. Sicily will be represented by artifacts from Agrigento, the Museum of Caltanissetta and the Paolo Orsi Museum. The curators of the exhibition are Anita Crispino (Parco Archeologico e Paesaggistico di Siracusa Eloro villa del Tellaro e Akrai) and Reinhard Jung (OeAI).
