Στο Μεταλλευτικό Μουσείο¨ Μήλου εκτίθεται για πρώτη φορά η Συλλογή Οψιδιανού του Μηλιού λαογράφου και συλλέκτη Ζαφείρη Βάου, που αποτελείται από εργαλεία και άλλα χρηστικά αντικείμενα του προϊστορικού ανθρώπου, αναδεικνύοντας τη μακραίωνη πολιτιστική και γεωλογική κληρονομιά του νησιού. Η «Συλλογή Οψιδιανού Ζαφείρη Βάου» αποτελείται από τέχνεργα από οψιδιανό, αυτή τη χαρακτηριστική μηλιακή ηφαιστειακή πέτρα, η οποία είναι ένα σημαντικό κεφάλαιο
