The Museum of Cycladic Art and the Irish Institute would like to invite you to the first of a series of public discussions and lectures with the general title “Society and the Past: the Reception of Antiquity in Modern Greece”. The first public discussion is entitled “ARCHAEOLOGY AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION” and will be held on Friday 20 February 2015, 18:00 at the Museum of Cycladic Art
Invited panel speakers: Prof. Petros Themelis (Emeritus Professor of Classical Archaeology, University of Crete), Dr. Olga Sakali (Museologist, President of the Greek Association of Archaeologists), Prof. Yannis Hamilakis (Professor of Archaeology, University of Southampton, UK).
Discussion will be in Greek. The event is free and open to the public.
