A cache of perfectly preserved Neolithic grain, the largest so far known in the Middle East, has been uncovered by Polish archaeologists working at Çatalhöyük in Central Turkey. Οι Μυκηναίοι ηγεμόνες της Αιτωλοακαρνανίας, που είχαν ταφεί στους εντυπωσιακούς τάφους του Αγίου Ηλία Ιθωρίας, σύμφωνα με τα πολύτιμα ευρήματά τους (ελεφαντόδοντο, χαλκό, κασσίτερο, χρυσό, ήλεκτρο, φαγεντιανή) θα πρέπει να είχαν αμέτρητους θησαυρούς και ως εκ τούτου δύναμη, επιρροή και εξουσία.
