Abstract

The present book is the result of two different excavations. The fist excavation was carried out by the Italian archaeologist Federico Halbherr in the region of Hagia Triada, which has been called “Villaggio”. The second one has been undertaken by the author one century later (2010-2015). This recent study included the collection of the data of the previous excavation, the synthesis of the excavations results and their presentation in a modern archaeological view. In this framework, the importance of this book is double. On the one hand, it represents a significant contribution to our knowledge about prehistoric Crete. One the other hand, it rescues the documents of an old excavation that are transformed into a source of information about the past.
